We have two exciting VISTA assignments opening in 2025. This is a great way for AmeriCorps VISTA members to gain valuable skills and experience while making a real difference in the community.

PNV VISTA Assignment Description

Program Title: Project New Village Outreach and Fundraising Coordinator VISTA V2

Program Start/End Date: 2/10/2025 – 2/09/2026

Project Description:

The goal of the project is to increase organizational capacity to engage with donors and community groups in support of Project New Village’s work to increase access to healthy foods in greater Southeastern San Diego. The VISTA member will: participate in meetings to enhance community knowledge about agency mission, projects, programs, and events; create a donor/sponsor stewardship program; and solicit donors and sponsors.

PNV VISTA Assignment Description

Program Title: People’s Produce Mobile Farmers Market and Mt. Hope Community Garden Coordinator VISTA V4

Program Start/End Date: 2/10/2025 – 2/09/2026

Project Description:

The goal of the project is to increase low-income and BIPOC residents’ access to healthy food in Greater Southeastern San Diego by developing and enhancing the business infrastructure that supports the People’s Produce Mobile Farmers Market (PPMFM) program and the Mt. Hope Community Garden. The VISTA member will build capacity by: developing processes to transfer produce that PNV grows at its sites to the MFM for sale via The People’s Produce Mobile Farmers Market program; and developing new projects and partnerships to increase healthy food access and/or sustainability.
