Community Chest

The Community Chest is a charitable fund created by Project new Village to support the purchasing power at the People’s Produce Mobile Farmers Market (MFM). The People’s Produce MFM serves the Good Food District, a region consisting of Southeastern San Diego, National City, Barrio Logan and Lemon Grove. This is an opportunity for everyone to contribute to the greater good!

For every $10 donated, a $10 coupon can be given to a People’s Produce customer to purchase fresh local produce from the truck.

Supporting Community Chest allows us to:

01  Support Local Food Growers

We are able to pay fair price to our local food growers, ensuring they are able to provide ethically grown produce using sustainable farming practices.

02  Gain Valuable Information

In exchange for the $10 coupons, MFM customers take a quick survey that gives us valuable insight to better support the communities we serve.

03  Help Those in Need

Coupons  provide necessary aid for families needing help in affording our healthy locally-sourced produce.
